Dear Lentil Bean,
I had you before and my experience was not so pleasant. Okay, I lie. You tasted like ass.But the more I thought about it, the more I realized I might be giving up on you too soon. Maybe I caught you on a bad day, maybe you didn't mix well with the other flavahs and spices....so I wanted to give you another chance.
I found a pretty tasty recipe for Sloppy Joes - who doesn't like those? When I mixed you all up and had another bite, I realized perhaps I judged you too quickly the first time. You're not so bad, after all.
You're not as amazing as your brothers, Garbanzo, Black, and Kidney - but you're not bad. Perhaps we'll meet again.

What is your favorite legume/bean? Mine is black, by a landslide. But I'm a bean lover pretty much all around.
Oh! And any Bachelor watchers out there? Jake is the next Bachelor. WTH?!! He's sweet and all, but something about him totally bugs. I was rooting for Kiptyn. :-(

I don't eat lentils very often.. I think I've actually only eaten it a couple of times.
I actually really like lentils, and have somehow gotten the man to eat them too... but I think black beans are my fave overall (I hear ya!) and are so versatile :) I love the Bachelor, and I'm not afraid to admit it, I will be watching haha!
If you are looking for a cool lentil idea, I actually made some nachos out of them and they were a huge hit... you can use any snobby joe leftovers for it too!

I like lentil stuff more when I get it in restaurants. When I make them, they're kinda bland.
I like a lot of beans - black, kidney, great northern, garbanzo.

I like lentils but really have to be in the mood for them. My favorite beans are pinto beans!

Thanks for the linkage! My favorite bean is garbonzo but I love alll beans! I've never tried making my own lentils though! I just know I like lentil soup!
I've never had a lentil bean in my life! My favorite is pinto beans and even better if they are in some Mexican food!

Ooo, Steven and I should try that recipe! I love kidney beans and pinto beans! NOM NOM NOM! Okay, I am a lover of all beans, EXCEPT chickpeas, unless they are made into hummus.

You are too adorable! I love your letter to the lentils. I feel the same way about them!! :-) They're okaaaaay, but I like black beans the best too! Chickpeas are in 2nd place, then kidney beans. I have wanted to try that snobby joe recipe though... maybe I'll get Andrew to make it for us.

I like black beans and garbanzos! I've actually never had lentil, but I just bought an Amy's soup with them in there.
I've used that recipe before too, I like it. :)
I kind of have a thing for blackeyed peas and pinto bean lately... but black beans and chickpeas are always a favorite as well!
