Not Better. Just Different.

I've been DYING to try Better n'Peanut Butter! I didn't realize they sold it at TJ's (SCORE), so I snagged some last week.

I am OBSESSED with nuts butters. No lie. Look at my stash.

I have PB in my morning oats - the Smart Balance. You see, I work at a headquarters for a local grocery store chain and I don't think they'd appreciate me whipping out the TJ's nut butter as I eat my breakfast. They don't realize I never shop at their stores because they're insanely expensive, and if I'm gonna go big, I'd rather spend that money at TJ's and Whole Paycheck.

At home I use the Almond Butter and TJ's PB, and now....Better n'PB! And for the record - it's not better tasting necessarily (IMO), but it does boast awesome stats:

Serving Size 2 tbsp (32.0 g)

Calories: 100
Calories from Fat:18
Total Fat: 2.0g
Sodium: 190mg
Total Carbohydrates: 13.0g
Sugars: 2.0g

I think the taste lends itself to flavor? Am I nuts? (hahaha) It's not good or bad, just like me - different. Overall I like the stuff, but I'm not giving up my regular nut butters! Especially in the morning with breakfast....they just keep me fuller for longer.

Do you hoard a particular kind of food? Obviously I hoard nut butters, but I always have a huge stash of yogurt in my fridge at all times: Blueberry/Strawberry/Peach Chobani, TJ's Organic French Vanilla, TJ's Greek Style Honey (sooooo insanely delish!), just to name a few.

Hope ya'll have a great weekend! I'm off to visit my friend in Louisville - I'm going to a winery for only the 2nd time in my life. For a girl who doesn't really like wine, this could be really good - or really, really bad.

I love nut butters too! We have 3 jars currently in the pantry: regular, cookie dough, caramel apple.... soooo good!

I didn't really like the Better'n PB. Maybe mixed into something, I would. I tried it just by itself on a spoon.

I don't know if this is the same thing, but I always need to have a jar or two of salsa in the house at all times.

I am a terrible food hoarder. It is a bad habit I am trying to break. Sigh.

I've heard mixed things about the Bettern'n PB. I have some waiting for me in NY to try. I hoard bars...big time. I have loads of them which I am trying to use up, but my bag of Clif bars is like Mary Poppin's bottomless bag! I also have a habit of trying something once, loving it and going out and majorly stocking up when it's on special offer. Then I get sick of it and never want to eat it again. Which is why my cupboard is full of Udon noodles and my freezer is full of felafel!

hahah YES I completely agree with you! It is NOT better than peanut butter. It's different for sure. Incredibly, almost too sweet! I wouldn't eat it by itself, but baked into goods is perfect. (I stash tonnes of food in my pantry, particularly BEANS and cereal. hahahah)

I have the same almond butter you have and I really like it. I usually eat it on a piece of toast as a prerun snack though. I need to try it in my morning oatmeal.

I agree! It doesn't taste bad...but not better...but still good! I also keep about 5 different ones at home and mix it up! What else do I hoard...does gum count? Haha I need to kick that addiction one of these days.

I used to eat better 'n pb all the time and loved it. I think I got burned out on it b/c all I've wanted lately is plain ole pb.

I definitely hoard! I just bought 3 boxes of kashi h2h cinnamon cereal b/c I'm afraid they'll discontinue it or something!! Oh and it was on sale...

I have to have a certain amount of yogurts, fruit, veggies, nut butters, and bread for me to feel ok about my food supply.

Hoping this comment shows up this time! Hope you've been having a great Friday Holly!! :)

hmmm haven't tried this yet, but I love the idea of 100 cals for 2 tbsp! However...I'm sure the taste suffers as a result. I will have to take a look. Enjoy your weekend girl!

Hey Holly,
Thanks for the comment on my blog today (9/30). Just wanted to clarify that the Garmin training software is not compatible with Vista. I downloaded Sporttracks software and it seems to be really cool. Get the watch and download Sporttracks, you will not regret it.
