i Probably Ought to have Done This Forever Ago.
While I've owned 2 other MP3 players in the past, for whatever reason I refused to get an iPod. I think it's because they were so popular and I didn't want to be a "sell out." THEN I realized they are so popular because, well, they are awesome. My last MP3 player was SO hard to figure out, not to mention it would completely erase my songs every few months. NICE, huh? In any event, it was so long, Sansa when I ran it though the washing machine last week. Oops. :-)
I have to admit, it's a little more confusing to figure out than I thought! But I LOVE it. What took me so long again?
In other news, I decided to sign up for a 15-K next weekend! This will be my first race since I did a full marathon in 2006 - YOWSA. I'm a little nervous only because I've been putting a lot of pressure on myself to maintain a certain speed. Of course I keep reminding myself that I am actually able to run again - I should be (and am!) so happy with that in itself. It's just tough when I know how fast I was able to run a couple of years ago. Hopefully I'll get back there...and if not, that's okay, too - I'm grateful each and every day I can lace up my shoes and hit the pavement. :-)

Yay for you iPod and congrats on signing up for the race next weekend!!! GOOD LUCK! : )
Enjoy your new toy!! Shopping for good workout/running songs is always fun. It can be dangerous on your wallet though.
GOOD LUCK on your race! I'm sure you'll kick ass. You'll have your ipod to keep you moving along, haha. I can't wait until I can complete a 15k!
Yes! iPods totally rock! I don't know where I would be without mine! I actually plug it into the stereo at the gym and use it for my play lists when I teach!! GOOD luck next weekend. I know you'll rock it!
Yay for the iPod! That will be so great when you work out!
Best of luck with that race!!
Good luck with your race! That is amazing!! So exciting that you got an ipod. They really are so much easier than other mp3 players!
Exciting about the IPOD! I actually just got one about 2 months ago. I also had held out. And I love that little baby! This weekend I got the Nike+ so I can workout with it and today over lunch I went and got the workout armband and a little pouch to keep the workout chip attached to my non-Nike shoes.
Exciting about the race. You will do awesome!...as I am sure you know!

Im always late on the newest trends. i just like to make sure nothing better is going to come out the next day
Kristen - you totally will! Maybe could you do a 15K as part of your training for the half? That's what I am doing...and my man, Hal, suggested it on his plan, too. I've only done one other 15K - I'm pretty pumped!
SweetsandSweats and eatingfree - I'm so glad I'm not the only one to just get one! People look at me like I'm a grown-up just trying chocolate for the first time or something.
Kelly - I am the SAME way. I have complete buyer's remorse, too, like - 'should I have just bought that? A newer version might be out next week!' Definitely not a risk-taker, myself.
